Here are my Week 9 college softball Power 10 rankings. There are some more shakeups this week with many teams gaining momentum and recording similar resumes 鈥 sp ordering these was tough.
1. Texas (previously 1)
Texas stays at No. 1 after sweeping Missouri. Teagan Kavan continues her excellence this season, tossing her first career no-hitter against the Tigers.
2. Oklahoma (previously 2)
Oklahoma stays at No. 2. The Sooners picked up a couple more wins as freshman Gabbie Garcia hit .800 on the week.
3. Texas A&M (previously 5)
The Aggies have been so consistently impressive over the past few weeks. They picked up two wins over Georgia, run-ruling the Bulldogs in the first game 8-0 and hitting three homers in game 2.
4. FSU (previously 8)
FSU moves up to four after a big-time mid-week win over in-state rival Florida to start the week. They shut out a typically powerful Gator offense, 4-0. Then they won the series over Virginia.
5. South Carolina (previously 6)
At 30-8, their record looks worse than it is. The Gamecocks are making their way through an incredibly tough schedule and just picked up another SEC series win over Ole Miss. Their only series loss was a sweep against Oklahoma. The rest of the losses have been from series wins or midweeks. I'm impressed with what this team is capable of.

6. LSU (previously 4)
I know it seems like a little drop for the Tigers, but with Florida State moving up and South Carolina continuing to perform well, I felt like I had to give the Gamecocks the nod here with the head-to-head series win. The Tigers, though, picked up a big SEC series win over Alabama.
7. Oregon (previously 7)
The Ducks lost on Monday night to LMU but swept Michigan last weekend, so felt good keeping them at seven. They are tearing through the Big Ten with Stefini Ma鈥檃ke hitting .500 with three home runs and seven RBI last week for the Ducks.
8. Arkansas (previously NR)
Welcome, Arkansas. The Razorbacks absolutely deserve a spot in the Power 10 after the tear they have been on since their series loss to Ole Miss and getting swept by Oklahoma. Arkansas won a series over Tennessee, swept Kentucky and now won the series over No. 2 Florida. Not to mention, Bri Ellis is putting up National Player of the Year numbers 鈥 and can barrel up just about anything as a righty. The Razorbacks are clicking at the right time and have another big series against South Carolina this week.
9. UCLA (previously 9)
UCLA stays put after handling Ohio State twice. Despite Ohio State's crazy offensive numbers this season, leading the country in homers, UCLA run-ruled them and then shut them out in game 2. Megan Grant went off at the plate and Taylor Tinsley threw a complete game, one-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts. Wish I could move UCLA up, but it's getting crazy in the top 10 with so many teams peaking at the same time.
10. Tennessee (previously 10)
Same thing with Tennessee 鈥 tough luck to not move up, but I couldn't figure out who to move below them. The Vols are 32-8 after winning the series over Mississippi State this past weekend.
