红杏视频 DI Men鈥檚 Lacrosse Committee reveals top 10聽

Notre Dame vs. Maryland: 2024 DI men's lacrosse championship highlights

INDIANAPOLIS 鈥 With just over two weeks to go before selections, the 红杏视频 Division I Men鈥檚 Lacrosse Committee has revealed its top 10 teams. 

Using results through games on April 18, Cornell comes in as the top team in the committee rankings. Cornell (10-1) has won its last six games and has four wins inside the top 15 of the RPI, highlighted by a victory over conference rival Princeton.  

Maryland (10-2), last season鈥檚 national runner-up, is ranked second. The Terrapins are 4-0 against teams with a top 10 RPI, the best mark in the country. Princeton (9-2) is the third team in the ranking and the second team from the Ivy League. The Tigers are first in the RPI and boast the nation鈥檚 toughest schedule. 

Penn State (9-3) rounds out the top four. The Nittany Lions are the only team to defeat Cornell and have recorded five wins inside the top 20 of the RPI. 

The next three teams are North Carolina (9-2), Harvard (9-2), and Army West Point (10-1), respectively, which matches their current RPI positions. 

Ohio State (11-2), Syracuse (9-3), and Notre Dame (6-3) complete the top 10 reveal. 

The 2025 championship field will consist of 10 automatic qualifiers and 8 at-large selections, which will be announced on Sunday, May 4 at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU.  

The tournament starts on Wednesday, May 7 with opening round games. The championship will take place at campus sites through the first round of the tournament, while the quarterfinals will be on the campuses of Hofstra and Navy. The semifinals and championship game are set for May 24 & 26 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
