Scoring the game-winning goal in overtime in the national championship game is a rare feat and a dream come true for any hockey player. But it goes to a whole new level of surreal when your goal grabs the attention of one of the greatest hockey players in the history of the sport.
On Sunday, 红杏视频 Division III Men's Ice Hockey Championship game with 1:38 remaining in overtime, junior forward Kahlil Fontana collected a loose puck in the face off circle to the right of the Utica goalie, he deked around a Pioneer defender and dove across the front of the goal, slipping a shot inside the far post. That touched off a Hobart celebration that has shown no signs of stopping.
Later that night, Brennan Dowd (@dontdowdit), a photographer and videographer covering the game, posted his footage of Fontana's goal to X (formerly Twitter). On Monday, none other than NHL Hall of Famer Bobby Orr (@RealBobbyOrr) reposted Dowd's video with the comment, "Looks familiar鈥︹."

"I was speechless,鈥 Fontana said. 鈥淲hen I first saw it, my phone dropped out of my hand. I truly feel honored that he even saw the post and then for him to comment on it and say it looks familiar, you can't even dream about that. As a kid growing up playing hockey since I was 4 years old, watching big time goals, seeing that photo of Bobby Orr is one of the most iconic photos in hockey history. And for him to say that it looks familiar, I just feel truly honored. It's more than a dream come true, really."
